Dr. Burrell graduated from high school at Sumner Memorial High in Sullivan, Maine and went to The University of Maine at Orono for two years prior to transferring to The Pennsylvania State University where he graduated in 1981. He then moved to San Francisco, CA to attend professional medical school at The California College of Podiatric Medicine and graduated in 1985. Dr. Burrell spent a year at The University of Southern California Los Angeles County Hospital prior to moving to Texas for further training at the Veterans Administration in Waco, Texas.
Dr. Burrell has now been in private practice for 24 years. He initially started a private practice in Texas where he had completed his surgical residency training. Dr. Burrell relocated back to New England in 1998 and initiated a new private practice in 2000, Lake Podiatry, PA. Dr. Burrell now has an office in Wolfeboro, NH out of Huggins Hospital, in Plymouth, NH out of Speare Memorial Hospital, and also in Fryeburg, ME out of Bridgton Hospital. Dr. Burrell also has staff privileges at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia, NH.
Dr. Burrell has been married for 24 years to his loving wife Deborah and they have three wonderful children. Kaitlyn, the oldest, is age 22, a Chemical Engineer, and is currently pursuing an MBA at Rensselear Poly Technical Institute in Troy, NY and will be graduating on time in December of 2010. Christopher, who is 20, is at the University of Maine at Orono as a Junior and is a Financial and Economics Major. The youngest is Courtney, age 14, and she is in the eighth grade at Plymouth Elementary School in Plymouth, NH. Dr. Burrell lives in Plymouth, NH and enjoys sailing, kayaking, canoeing, golf, cross country skiing, alpine skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, walking, and gardening. The family enjoys having many pets including Jaimie the family Golden Retriever. During the summer months Dr. Burrell enjoys sailing off of the coast of Maine in Sloop Sweetie and visiting many coastal islands and ports. Sloop Sweetie belonged to Dr. Burrell's father and has been in the family for a number of years. Dr. Burrell is currently the recent past president of the Rotary Club of the Fryeburg Area and has been very much involved with Rotary.
Dr. Burrell loves private practice and thoroughly enjoys caring for patients concerns and needs. You will witness for yourself the gentle and considerate bedside manner in gathering the details of your concerns during your examination.
